The Belmond-Klemme cross country teams each had a top ten finish at the Dick Bell Invitational at Eagle Grove Oct. 6.

  Isaac Swenson finished eighth on the hilly course with a time of 19:35.41.

  The rest of the boys team finished in a pack. Cohen Sifert was 29th in 22:28.03, Bradan Gabrielson was 30th in 22:30.91, and Cooper Sifert was 32nd in 22:47.62.

  Abigail Bates placed tenth with a 25:03.78 in the girls race. She was followed by Shea Sopher in 14th with a 25:19.27 and Val Torres in 19th with a 26:24.37.

  The traditional Columbus Day cross country meet at Forest City was held under windy conditions, but with bright blue skies.

  Abigail Bates was the top finisher in the girls 5K with a time of 24:07. She placed 19th.

  Shea Sopher was the second Bronco to cross the finish line. Her time of 24:36.4 put her in 24th place. Val Torres ran a 26:28.2 for 48th place.

  The remaining Broncos and their placements included: Dora Bobadilla, 28:14.6, 64th; Molly Hartwig, 28:21.6, 65th; Lauren Crawford, 29:05.7, 67th; and Addie Buseman, 34:22.8, 75th.

  The Bronco boys were paced by Isaac Swenson’s time 19:21.6. He finished in 22nd.

  Bradan Gabrielson ran a 21:54.2 for 61st, while Cohen Sifert ran a 22:04.7 for 66th.

  The other Broncos who placed at the meet included: Aldo Martinez, 24.17.7, 94th; Dalton Clark, 24:54.9, 99th; and Jakob Williams, 31:28.2, 107th.
