After a competitive break of more than two weeks, the Belmond-Klemme cross country teams travelled to Clear Lake Sept. 17.

  Abbie Bates was the top finisher for the Bronco girls with a time of 23:32.1; she placed 22nd. Shea Sopher was next with a time of 24:52.8 for 42nd while Val Torres ran a 25:12.1 for 46th.

  In the junior varsity race, the girls had the following times and placements: Molly Hartwig, 28:41.8, 15th; Lauren Crawford, 28:55, 16th; and Addie Buseman, 32:13.9, 25th.

  Isaac Swenson paced the Bronco boys with a time of 18.41.8 for 26th place. Bradan Gabrielson finished with a 20:46.2 for 60th. Cooper Sifert’s time of 21:53.4 put him in 78th while his brother Cohen ran a 21:56 for 79th place.

  In the junior varsity race, the Broncos had the following results: Kaedon Furman, 41st, 24:13.8; Dalton Clark, 53rd, 25:41.1; Aldo Martinez, 54th, 25:46.2; and Jakob Williams, 65th, 32:10.7.

  The B-K junior high cross country teams ran for the first time this season.

  Ryan Hartwig placed 12th in the boys two-mile race with a time of 14:05.1, while Callum Sifert was 56th with a 19:18.8.

  On the girls side, Lila Swenson finished in 22nd place with a 15:49. Clementine Sifert was 37th with a 17:21.1, and Kendra Huedepohl placed 39th with a 17:23.7.
