Both Belmond-Klemme cross country teams boasted two top ten finishes at the West Fork Invitational Sept. 21.

  Isaac Swenson placed seventh in the 5K race with a time of 19:19.18. Bradan Gabrielson placed 24th with a time of 21:50.34. He was followed by the Sifert brothers: Cohen in 32nd place with a 22:40.08, and Cooper in 34th with a 23:10.11.

  The other Broncos in the race included: Kaedon Furman, 48th, 26:31.25; Dalton Clark, 49th, 26:37.52; Aldo Martinez, 50th, 26:40.97; and Jakob Williams, 58th, 33:35.21.

  Three B-K girls finished in the top 20 in the girls 5K. Abbie Bates finished in tenth place with a time of 23:55.68; Shea Sopher’s time of 24:44.02 put her in 14th place. Valeria Torres ran a 25:33.91 for 18th.

  Three other girls also competed in the invitational: Lauren Crawford, 29:57.19, 30th; Molly Hartwig, 30:39.11, 31st; and Addie Buseman, 32:30.89, 34th.

  The great finishes for both girls and boys continued at the GHV Invitational held Sept. 28 at Garner.

  Abigail Bates placed 13th in the girls 5K with a time of 23:41.25, and Valeria Torres finished in 20th with a season-best time of 24:33.80.

  The seniors were followed by: Lauren Crawford, 40th, 27:47.03; Dora Bobadilla, 43rd, 28:10.50; Molly Hartwig, 46th, 29:22.35; Maria Vara, 49th, 30:32.68; and Addie Buseman, 51st, 32:07.21.

  The girls team finished in sixth place.

  The boys were paced by Isaac Swenson, who placed 15th with a time of 19:32.19. His fellow sophomore, Bradan Gabrielson, finished in 39th with a 21:33.01.

  The other Broncos who competed and their placements included: Cooper Sifert, 45th, 21:56.99; Dalton Clark, 79th, 25:36.49; Aldo Martinez, 80th, 25:39.04; and Kaedon Furman, 88th, 27:42.37.

  The boys team finished in eighth place.
