BKHS senior Amy Soma will be singing the National Anthem at the Class 1A and 2A state football championships at the UNI Dome on Nov. 21.


  Nathan McVey, son of Brian and Bobbi McVey, won second place in the Iowa Jaycees’ Run, Punt and Pass competition held at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. Nathan, who is eight, missed placing first by only two points.


  The five starting Broncos in Friday night’s basketball game against Clear Lake will be Joey McLaughlin, Ron Fuller, Tom Shirer, Ron Ginapp and Ron Dougherty.


  Gridiron honors were awarded to seven BHS football players for outstanding performance during the season just concluded: John Murray, Bruce Leinbach, Roger Ginapp, Larry Tideback, Merle Robbins, Mike Long and Lynn Jension. The team earned a share of the North Iowa Conference championship with Britt and Osage.
