The Belmond-Klemme boys basketball team hosted Top of Iowa Conference rival Forest City for Senior Night Feb. 10.

  The Indians took the tip-off and really didn’t look back. Turnovers were the name of the game for the Broncos in the first quarters, and the home team only managed to score four times. Jordan Meyer swished in one three-pointer, but it was matched by Indians at the buzzer. FC led 17-9.

  The Indians continued to widen the lead, but the Broncos managed to get on the scoreboard with buckets by Meyer, Jaace Weidemann, Alex Bartz. A buzzer-beating lay-up before halftime put the visitors up 36-17.

  Carson Lane scored the first points of the second half with a shot from beyond the arc. Weidemann and Dylan Anderson scored baskets before Bartz hit back-to-back three-pointers. A Bronco desperation shot bounced off the rim just before time expired in the third quarter. The Broncos trailed 52-29.

  Kaleb Carlson’s three-pointer kicked off the B-K scoring in the final period. The Broncos put up 16 points thanks to scores by Carlson, Lane, Anderson and Triston Yoder, but could not catch the Indians. The Broncos lost 65-45.
