The shared Belmond-Klemme/Eagle Grove baseball team opened the season with a win May 16.

  The game with Southeast Valley was tied 1-1 until the sixth inning when the Eagles scored twice. Third baseman Nolan Krauss had a single in two at-bats.

  On the following night, the Eagles scored only run against Webster City, and lost 11-1.

  On May 23, EG turned the tables on conference rival Forest City, and won 11-0.

  The scoring opened in the fifth inning with the Eagles crossing the plate five times. Two runs were added in the fourth, and four more in the sixth inning.

  The Eagles lost 5-2 to Pocahontas May 26. That game was moved from Eagle Grove to Fort Dodge.
