At a special school board meeting held June 2, the Eagle Grove school board voted 3-2 to cancel the softball and baseball seasons. Two coaches are in quarantine for Covid-19, four coaches are awaiting pending test results to see if they need to be tested, players are being tested, and there are large number of test results yet to be reported.

   Wright County Public Health announced June 1 that three people who were socially active in the Clarion and Eagle Grove areas had tested positive for Covid-19. Their contacts are being traced, and two pop-up Covid clinics were set up in Clarion and Eagle Grove to test over 100 exposed persons.

   Eagle Grove now joins Belmond in cancelling the summer ball seasons.
