The Belmond-Klemme boys cross country team finished 15th out of 27 teams competing at the state qualifying meet in Marshalltown Oct. 24.

  Freshman Isaac Swenson was the top Bronco with a time of 19:35.0 over the 5K course. He finished in 59th place.

  Sophomore Neison Garay was the next Bronco to finish. His time of 20:19.9 put him in 76th. Senior Caden Sifert was close behind with a 20:32.9 for 85th.

  Two freshmen were next: Logan Coady with a time of 20:38.1 for 88th, and Jose Andrade with a 21:00.0 for 98th. Sophomores Cooper and Cohen Sifert rounded out the team scoring. They ran 21:11.2 and 21:14.9, respectively, for 104th and 106th.

  Senior Mabelyn Aguilor led B-K across the finish line with a time of 24:39.6 for 74th place.

  Freshman Piper Schlichting ran a 25:15.1 to place 86th while sophomore Shea Sopher followed her across the line with a time of 25:18.0 for 87th.

  Two sophomores, Molly Hartwig and Dora Bobadilla, were the next Broncos to complete the 5K. Hartwig ran a 25:41.3 for 91st place, while Bobadilla ran a 26:00.0 for 105th.

  Junior Valerie Torres posted a 26:58.7 for 115th while Elizabeth Vestweber-Boots ran a 27:28.6 for 124th.
