The Broncos lost their first football game of the season on a wet, muddy night at Gowrie. Southeast Valley celebrated a 36-20 homecoming win Sept. 11.
The Jaguars scored first on a 52-yard pass play. But the Broncos answered back quickly.
On their third play of the game, Tate Sander took the ball into the endzone after a 59-yard run. Less than two minutes into the game, the score was tied 6-6.
The Jags scored two more times before the half ended, and led 20-6.
The Broncos cut into that lead on the first drive of the second half. Twelve plays after kick-off, Max Beminio plunged into the endzone and the score was 20-13.
However, SEV answered by running back the kickoff for a touchdown. The resulting two-point conversion was good, and the score was 28-13.
The Broncos last score came two plays later with another long scoring run by Sander. His 65-yard run was the longest score of B-K’s young season.
