  The Belmond-Klemme boys had a tough week, starting off against one of the top schools in the conference, Lake Mills.

  The Broncos started off the game with a double by Easton Barrus who scored on a deep sacrifice fly by Tucker Kroeze. The Bulldogs had runs in the second, third and fifth innings to make the score 3-1.

  The Bulldogs added two more runs late in the game to make the score 5-1. The Broncos had one last effort in the seventh inning as one more run came across, but it wouldn’t be enough. The Broncos lost 5-2.

  In the final game of the week, the Broncos headed to West Hancock for the conference rival match-up.

  Easton Barrus started the game by taking first base after he was hit by a pitch, and eventually came around to score. The Eagles took advantage of a first inning error, and scored five runs.

  Annika Nelson and Jaace Weidemann reached first base in the second, and both scored on a single by Cole Nelson. B-K added another two runs in the third inning. Mitch Hill and Nelson reached first base on walks and took advantage of Eagle fielding errors to make the score 5-5. The Eagles added one run in the third and three runs in the fourth to reclaim the lead.

  B-K added another run on a single by Barrus in the fifth, but that was all the closer the Broncos would get, taking the tough loss 11-6.
