The Belmond-Klemme boys returned to the basketball court Jan. 4 in a road game at Britt.
The Broncos found themselves out-matched from the start, and the Eagles led 31-12 at halftime. B-K could not find an offensive spark after the break, and lost 58-27.
Tyreon Franklin led the Broncos with 11 points, including one three-pointer. The sophomore also came down with nine defensive rebounds, and had one assist.
Mitchell Fahrmann scored four points and grabbed five rebounds.
Brody Kern and Nolan Krauss each contributed three points.
Brian Duran had five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
The boys faced the leader of the Top of Iowa - East division Jan. 8 in a cross-conference match. The Osage Green Devils defeated the Broncos 82-33.
The host team was up 26-7 after the first period, and kept up the scoring until the break. Osage led 49-17 as the teams went to the locker room.
The Broncos were unable to improve after halftime, even as the Osage scoring slowed down.
