It was a fun night at Greenwood Park June 9 as the Eagle Grove baseball team (with several B-K players) scored a 23-13 win over North Union for their second win in as many nights. The home team plated nine guys in the first inning alone, then added seven more scores in the second and tacked on four for good measure in the third to put it away.
Prior to that, they traveled to Nevada June 8 and defeated the Cubs by a 7-4 final. The Eagles brought two guys home both the first and the third, then added three additional scores in the sixth as icing on the cake.
The Eagles lost 12-2 at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura June 7, posting lone runs in the first and fifth innings. Brady Beck and Jake Jeske each had a single and double with Jaden Warren, Bryson Warren and Mack Morgan adding a base hit a piece. Beck drove in Mack Morgan, with Cayden Schultz bringing him home. Blake Morgan, Schultz and Jayden Warren all drew a walk each.
Jayden Warren pitched an inning, giving up four earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
EG lost 13-2 at North Iowa June 11. Both runs were scored in the first as Cayden Schultz brought home Jake Jeske and Chris Williams drove in Schultz. Jayden Warren had the only other hit, and also stole a base.
At a tournament hosted by Colo-Nesco on Saturday, the Eagles defeated the host Royals 7-4. They scored twice in both the first and third, then brought three guys home in the fifth.
EG lost to Pleasantville 14-7 as Jake Jeske went three for four with two doubles and two RBIs. Mack Morgan was two for three with a run scored. Jayden Warren smacked a triple and scored twice. Jordan Morris and Trenton Berhow also reached on doubles. Cayden Schultz and Blake Morgan singled with Schultz crossing the plate once.
