The Belmond-Klemme school board approved a new two-year contract for Superintendent Dan Frazier on Dec. 19. The contract will run through June 30, 2022, and includes a two percent raise retroactive to July 1. Frazier will earn $144,800. Superintendent salaries in the area range from $179,775 at Hampton-Dumont to $118,500 at West Hancock.

  In other business, the board:

  —hired Dennis Dippel as a substitute bus driver and activity bus driver, Kaitlyn Boelman as the choreographer for the New Group, and Irene Richards as a special education aide;

  —approved the purchase of a new diesel bus from the Hoglund Bus Company. The cost of the 65-seat unit (which will have seatbelts) is $92,599;
