The Belmond-Klemme school approved nearly $100,000 worth of summer repair projects at the April 21 meeting. The biggest expense will be $20,000 to replace carpeting in eight rooms in Jacobson Elementary School.

Install lights above welding booth $3,000

Clean all classroom carpets $5,000
Ventilation/exhaust in home ec room $10,000
Greenhouse rain gutter repair $1,000
Replace stained ceiling tiles $300
Sod cultivation $5,000
Refinish two gym floors $7,000
Repaint lines in parking lot $1,000
Repaint classrooms $2,000
Renovate shop area sinks and bathrooms $5,000
Misc. repairs $9,000
The board also approved six workers and one supervisor for cleaning, painting, repairs and computer maintenance. Those temporary employees will cost about $21,000.
