EAGLE GROVE: An entire semi truck full of eggs was given away April 27 by Daybreak Foods. The eggs totalled over 240,000 -- 20,000 dozen.
HAMPTON: The farmers market will open next Tuesday for the first time this year. Vendors will be wearing gloves and masks, and patrons will not be allowed to handle the produce before purchase. Everyone will be asked to stay six feet apart.
CLEAR LAKE: The school superintendent has suggested that the school day may be lengthened 10 or 15 minutes next year to help students recover from the loss of education during the Covid-19 closure.
STORY CITY: A factory is making internet service available to families in town who don’t have any. An area of the factory parking lot has been marked off, and people are allowed to park their vehicle and access wifi service free during business hours.
