Governor Kim Reynolds on Thursday (March 26) extended Iowa business shutdowns to at least April 7, and added more businesses to the list, which already included restaurants, bars, theaters, and beauty parlors. (NOW CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 30)
Dental checkups, elective surgeries, bookstores, clothing and shoe stores, furniture stores and florists are all on the new closure list. Emergency medical procedures are allowed.
Stronger employee screenings for nursing home workers were also ordered after it was learned that a number of cases of COVID-19 have involved care center employees.
Iowa's schools are shut down until last least April 13. (NOW APRIL 30)
