There was another big jump in the number of new Covid-19 cases in Wright County for the week ending Sept. 4. Sandy McGrath of the public health department told the county supervisors Sept. 7 that 60 people were diagnosed, raising the total over 2,100.

“Obviously, we are hitting the fourth wave,” McGrath stated. “Please get tested and hunker down if you’re sick. Err on the side of caution and make sure it’s not Covid.” She added that people should stay home if they’re sick until they get test results. And she suggested that people wear masks since the Delta variant is more transmissible than previous variants.
