The Covid-19 situation at Eagle Grove was discussed Sept. 28 by the Wright County Supervisors. Sandy McGrath gave an update on the Emergency Operations Center and a meeting of the EOC last Thursday in which the county’s school superintendents joined in.

Eagle Grove Supt. Jess Tolliver discussed his situation. At least 150 students and 30 teachers in that school district are in quarantine. Classes are now being held online. To detect additional Covid-19 cases, the county set up a pop-up test site Sept. 23 at the Eagle Grove elementary school. About 200 people were tested, and 12 positive cases were found. Those 12 people had already been quarantining.

Football and volleyball games were cancelled. The district will ask the state to allow an additional two weeks of online learning.
