The annual Belmond Christmas Parade of Lights, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, will be held Friday, Nov. 27 at 6:30 p.m. along the usual route.

  The theme this year will be Home for the Holidays (Quarantine Christmas). Passing out anything during the parade will not be allowed in 2020.

  The chamber is also sponsoring a lighting contest this year. Watch for an upcoming list of winners.

  The Santa House will begin its Christmas hours after the parade on Nov. 27 from 7-8 p.m. December hours will be Fridays from 5:30-7:00 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon; and Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to noon.

  Pets with Santa will be held Saturday, Dec. 12 at 12:30 p.m.

  Because of Covid-19, additional measures are being taken in 2020.

  --Everyone over the age of 2 will be required to wear a face mask.

  ­­--Only one family will be allowed inside the Santa House at any one time. Please dress warmly since you may have to wait outside for your turn.

  --Touching surfaces will be wiped down between visits.

  --Visitors will be asked to take cookies and cocoa with them.
