The hallways at Belmond-Klemme High School will have a totally new look when students return to class later this month. The gray and beige tiles on the wall replace the tiny yellow tiles that were originally installed in the building. This view is looking from the office north to the library.
In addition, new student lockers will arrive soon. The contractor was surprised to discover that there was no drywall behind the lockers, lending credence to decades-long complaints from teachers that it sounded as though students were slamming lockers right into the classrooms.
